A Complete Idiot's Guide to Being a Bridesmaid.
TV's Dr. McDreamy, Patrick Dempsey finds himself in a hell of a situation in a demented romantic comedy. Dempsey plays Tom Bailey, who is in love with his best friend, Hannah (Michelle Monaghan), who in turn, announces she is engaged to a dashing Scotsman, and she asks Tom to be, of all things, her bridesmaid, but he must make an effort to pull off the perfect wedding and steal the bride. What a revolting development, this is. Also starring Kevin McKidd, Kathleen Quinlan, Sydney Pollack, James B. Sikking, Busy Philipps, Whitney Cummings, Richmond Arquette, Kadeem Hardison, Emily Nelson, and Beau Garrett. The movie was dedicated to the memory of Sydney Pollack, who died on May 26, 2008.
