Bobby Beausoleil's soundtrack works well enough in the context of Kenneth Anger's spooky experimental short film, complementing Anger's surreal/occult imagery with dramatic instrumental progressive rock. On its own, it's not as interesting; it sounds kind of like also-ran cosmic Krautrock that takes itself pretty seriously. It's also not as striking as the eerie instrumentals that Jimmy Page recorded with Lucifer Rising in mind (available on bootleg).
