Peace is a great goal for any society, but a peaceful existence doesn't do much for those who battle for a living. Take Izuna, for example. She's a feisty female ninja always looking for a fight, but after dispatching hordes of dungeon-dwelling baddies in 2007's Legend of the Unemployed Ninja, she once again finds herself out of work. Luckily for Izuna, trouble rears its ugly head again in Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns. She and her gang of starving warriors were lured to a wedding by the promise of free food, but the soporific feast led to confusion when Shino, Izuna's sidekick, went off on a search for her long-lost sister. At the same time, a group of foreign gods have arrived on Japanese land, and they don't find Izuna's attitude to their liking.
It all adds up to another battle-heavy RPG for players, as they must once again guide the wisecracking, coquettish Izuna and her party through hardcore dungeon battles. The dungeons generate randomly, so no two are ever the same, and players can fight their way through by using a variety of different ranged weapons and magical talismans. There are a total of 12 playable characters, and gamers can use the new tag team system to take two characters into the dungeons and unleash fierce combination attacks. In addition to contending with angry foreign gods and tracking down Shino and her twin sister, gamers will also come across plenty of side quests as they meet and interact with more than 60 unique and unusual characters.
