Pantera-inspired formula that fueled its predecessors, the dreaded nu-metal tag that followed the band out of the turn of the century seems wholly eradicated. If anything,
Disturbed owe more to early-'90s
Metallica and
Brian Johnson-era
AC/DC than they do
Tool or
Korn, as each staccato, tech-heavy riff is balanced out by some truly artful soloing and frontman
David Draiman's mean and melodious pipes. Standout cuts like
"Inside the Fire," "Deceiver, " "The Curse," and the skull-cracking title track, even though they could have appeared on any of the group's first three records, still manage to fire on every cylinder. Like its closest contemporary,
Godsmack, this is a band that favors reliability over experimentation, and each piece of
Indestructible, whether it's the pseudo-horror/fantasy artwork, the drop-D riffing, or the obligatory "shout-outs" in the liner notes to the purveyors of each member's gear endorsement deals, fits together like the world's most obvious puzzle. That said, there's a reason each of the group's previous albums bested the million mark, and with metal growing increasingly self-aware and divided between hardcore and hard rock, a new
Disturbed record seems like a solid foundation on which to duke it out.

Disturbed is the greatest band ever and there new album Indestructible will prove to be the most darkest album yet with songs like "Inside The Fire," Perfect Insanity and Indestructible so go out and get it.

One of Disturbed's best cds
Indestructible is a great follow up album to ten thousand fists. David Draiman sounds better then ever and the riffs by Don Donegan are the best on all of their cds. If you are a disturbed fan, you should buy this cd.

Disturbed Is Back & Better Than Ever!
"Indestructible" marks the triumphant return of one of my favorite bands, Disturbed. I think it is simply an incredible album and one of the standout rock releases of 2008 to date.
The album certainly delivers on the band's trademark sound and does not stray too far from what made Disturbed successful to begin with - as a matter of fact, I feel it is more of a return to the harder sound they had prior to 10,000 Fists. I also feel that their maturity clearly shines through with this release and they have found the perfect balance between the metal and the melodic.
As usual, David Draiman's strong vocals, the outstanding guitar work of Dan Donegan and the pounding rhythm section of John Moyer and Mike Wengren, work together in undeniable harmony to bring the out the best of every song. I think Dan has really taken his guitar playing to the next level - his solos are OUTSTANDING on many of the songs - what a talent.
I have a hard time picking out favorites - the entire album is so strong -but if I had to choose, Indestructible, Perfect Insanity and Divide are standouts for me.
Buy it - you'll love it!
