Click on the field header labeled "Extensions" (to order the list by extension)
Scroll down and click on the entry for "ASX"
Click on the "Change Action" button
Select the top radio button labeled "Open them with the default application"
Repeat steps 6-8 for every instance of the ASX extension in the list. When you are done, click "Close" then click "OK" in the options window. Audio samples should now play properly in Windows Media Player.

This particular set follows on the heels of a similar project related to Schoolhouse Rock, but it turns out to be, actually, a lot better than might be expected. A variety of artists ranging from Gloria Estefan to Jimmy Buffett tackle various Sesame Street songs, with and without the assistance of the various members of the Muppet cast. The compilation is amusing, entertaining and a lot of fun, whether it's Estefan's exuberant take on "Mambo I, I, I,"Steven Tyler's very loud cover of "I Love Trash" or Jimmy Buffett dueting with Kermit the Frog on "Caribbean Amphibian." A good one for the adults as well as the kids.
