Showcasing the salsa that was coming out of Cuba in the 1990s and 2000s, Cuba's Salsa Kings is a collection of music from some of the country's talent, including Adalberto Alvarez (who contributes two songs, "Mi Linda Habanera" and "Y Que Tu Quieres Que Te Den"), Issac Delgado (who contributes one, "Corazón, Corazón"), and Charanga Habanera (whose "Nube Pasajera" is also included). As with much of contemporary salsa, there's a very clean, produced feel to Cuba's Salsa Kings, but as all the musicians who perform on each track are quite talented (at the beginning of his career Delgado was in Grupo Proyecto with famed pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba), the album is a great listen and a good introduction to modern Cuban salsa.
