Injured during their engagement with the Balarant, Chirico lies dying in the mysterious spaceship. Tortured by visions of his past, he grows more and more withdrawn from Fyana as their ship hurtles further into the Balarant Nonagression Zone. After their autopilot systems are sabotaged by their enemies in an attempt to capture the ship, Fyana decides that there is only one way she can save Chirico...by surrendering herself to the Balarant!
But the best laid plans never work out, especially when Ypsilon and other members of the Secret Society appear in pursuit of their lost Perfect Soldier prototype. When their ship is forced down onto a nearby planet, Fyana and a severely weakened Chirico must face Ypsilon in a new deathmatch. But as the Secret Society presses the attack, The Balarant move ever closer....
