Based on an updated version of the game engine used for the Revolutionary War strategy title Birth of America, Ageod's American Civil War lets players relive the enormity of America's great internecine conflict. Strategists can follow in the footsteps of Ulysses S. Grant and secure victory for the Union Army, or rewrite the course of history in favor of Robert E. Lee and the Confederacy. Players can take control of dozens of troops, organize divisions, manage supply lines through sea, river, and rail, and maneuver political minefields to promote the best leaders to command positions. There are more than 300 uniquely talented historical leaders to help guide each side through 15 different scenarios and five campaigns, including the all-encompassing Grand Campaign. Each scenario is subject to hundreds of random events that create an element of surprise and render no two games alike.
